Ansar-e-Banaras began as a small family workshop tucked in the weaving lanes of Varanasi, where the sound of the pit loom has echoed for generations. What started with a handful of karigars (weavers) has grown into a name trusted for authentic Banarasi silk — without ever leaving the loom.
Every saree we sell is handwoven — not printed, not powerloom-finished. We work directly with weaver families, paying fair wages and keeping this centuries-old craft alive for the next generation.
